Hello, my name is Amy Latchaw and I am the director of the Education Wing at the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center located in Middletown, Pa. We are an educational theater that serves hundreds of students and families from Cumberland, Dauphin, York, Lancaster, Perry and Juniata counties. The mission of our organization is to make Jesus Christ known back-stage, on-stage and off-stage.
You do not want to miss this rare opportunity to see the classic tale of spiritual discovery based on the stirring text from John Bunyan.
First published in 1678, "The Pilgrim's Progress" has never been out of print and is considered one of the most significant works of English religious literature. It is the second most published text, second only to the Bible itself, and is known for its abundant Scriptural content and allegorical tale of the Christian walk that is still relevant today.
In this class, students will learn: the five basic dance positions, a comprehensive warm up using all parts of the body, proper head, hip, arm and foot placement, basic bar combinations, “across the floor” movement combinations and choreography. This class is designed to teach basic dance and movement techniques for those interested in auditioning for dance features in upcoming musicals and performances. This class is open to students in 3rd thru 5th grade.
HCPAC is excited to announce the re-infusion of both the educational and spiritual components into the yearly slated cabarets, the first of which will be A White Christmas Cabaret. Redirecting the focus away from the previous “talent show” format, it is our desire to make the cabaret performance a byproduct or showcase of a “Masters Class” training program in which each “act” will receive professional coaching.
